Female test
There are 2 results windows - a small window which will show the control line indicating that the test has run properly and a large window which has the reference line and any potential results line.
If no line appears in the small control window the test has not worked properly and the patient should contact the information line on 0800 731 8267 in the UK and 1800 882 367 in ROI.
For all other results see below:
If there is only one red reference line in the large result window, the patient's ovarian reserve is likely to be at a normal level, and they should continue their efforts to conceive |
If there is a second red line in the large result window that is a lighter shade of red than the reference line, the patient's ovarian reserve is likely to be at a normal level, and they should continue their efforts to conceive. |
If the second line in the large results window is the same or darker than the reference line, further testing maybe appropriate and you may decide to discuss further testing options with your patient. |
Male test
No lines in the results window indicate the test has not been performed properly. |
One line indicates the motile sperm concentration is below the cut-off level for normally expected values, so a doctor should be consulted for further testing. |
Two red lines, however faint, indicates that motile sperm concentration is above the cut-off level for normally expected values, so the process of trying to conceive should continue as normal. |
